The Sickest Kicks

I'm more of a stacked-platform-heel-girl rather than a sneaks-girl, but I can't help but admire these amazing custom Nike Air Force Ones, dubbed 'Canal Street' after the infamous New York avenue.

Created to draw awareness to the scandalous counterfeit industry, the shoe pays homage to our favorite iconic brands using the logos and patterns that made them famous: the red+green Gucci stripe, Vuitton's 'Damier' checkered canvas, Chanel's double C logo. The shoe is even adorned with a fake Rolex watch! Check them out at Kicks On Fire.

Now if only someone could make me a bag like that!!!

That's a haiku I wrote that celebrate these fabulous finds (and yes, I know it's not REAL haiku format).

Sporty Spice

You know you're fat (loose term) when you change into workout clothes, decide to take a little 20 minute tiger snooze in order to "prep" yourself for the gym, wake up 3 hours later discombobulated, confused, and sweaty because you're in a sports bra and leggings under a down comforter... Realize that you have to be at dinner in half in hour, change out of your 'un-used' workout clothes and hop in the shower in order to get ready and be out the door on time...

A very typical day in the life of SweetGirl. Hey, I try...

Here are some cute picks for those exercise (loose term) days:

Nike Shox Deliver trainer in silver, $120 at Nike (who cares about performance! I scoured the entire Nike online inventory, and these are by far the cutest!)

C9 by Champion sports bra, $14-17 depending on color and style at Target. (I have a few of these and LOVE them. They are really comfortable and supportive and I think that the skinny straps are sexy).

Hard Tail cropped leggings in Bat Grey, $48 at YogaClothing

Lacoste terrycloth sweatband, $9 at Lacoste (I've had this sweatband for years.. don't even know where I got it, but it makes me wanna be a tennis player! So inspirational.)

Warm and Fuzzy

While it's still 75 degrees in sunny California, here are some winter picks on my radar for this coming holiday:

Plaid Wool Bomber Hat with fur, $40 here

Alexander Wang polina goat fur leather booties, $925 at Net-A-Porter

Burberry Prorsum cropped shearling jacket, $2,995 at Net-A-Porter.

Obviously these 3 would look ridiculous all together (can you imagine!), but individually I think these are some great pieces for bearing the cold.

Armadillo

These cognac leather booties are now in my "collection" aka closet. They're called the Annton and they are from Steve Madden, $129. I think they'll be great for fall! Plus I always prefer platform wedges to stilettos (more comfortable)!

It's like a lace-up Oxford meets (the poor man's) McQueen armadillo booties.
