Hello Kitty has made its way to our favorite store Sephora!

The new collaboration includes a complete collection of cosmetics, nail polish, fragrance, and accessories starting from $5 for nail art and upwards of $350 for a Swarovski crystal hand mirror.

We love Helly Kitty, as noted here, here, and here... but I think I may stick with my tried-and-true MAC, Maybelline, and Stila cosmetics. What do you think?

I think I need this... NARS Fashion Forward Set exclusively for Sephora, $59. Prob wouldn't wear the purple eyeshadow much, but it's always fun to have crazy colors in your collection! LOVE the lipgloss, liner, and shimmer stick!

No, it's not what you think.. Although our Lady friend is not shy...

It's a new buff shade from Lady GaGa's Viva Glam collection at MAC. Out February 17th, proceeds from the lipstick and lipglass support MAC's AIDS Foundation.

Oooh!! Fantzy!!! Two new MAC collaborations out and available on MAC's website.

First is a new limited edition satin lipstick named 'Pink Friday' to celebrate Nicki Minaj's debut album of the same name. Ugh LOVE HER!

The other is full set of cosmetics designed by Dutch industrial designer Marcel Wanders. Check out that crazy packaging!

I don't know about you but I'm still holding out for MAC by Rodarte... The project was canceled says New York Magazine. Boooo!!! Grrrr!!!!

MAC's 'A Tartan Tale' holiday cosmetics collection. Plaid, like candy, is a total weakness for me! The collection includes everything! From nail polish, brushes, eye shadow quads, lipgloss, and blush compacts in colors like 'Style Clan', 'Hearts-A-Beatin', and 'Radiant Jewels'. Mommy likey!

I get $25 gift certificates to Bloomingdale's every time I spend $$ on my Bloomingdale's Visa (which, mind you, is just like a regular credit card!). I thought I was gonna spend my credits on this MAC collection but now it seems that A Tartan Tale has trumped Disney. The line comes out first week of November and I will be eagerly awaiting.

I never met a makeup item that I didn't like...

Well that's not 100% true, but I am a sucker for all things cosmetic + cute.

This 'Pixie Perect' kit from TooFaced had me at hello. It was the adorable makeup bag that reeled me in! Vintage blonde pin-up girl with butterfly wings surrounded by celadon green and roses - yes please! Plus the kit includes: duo bronzer, eyeshadow quad, mini mascara, lipgloss, and primer - all for $42 at Sephora.

Confessions Of A Concealaholic

Whoever thinks of this shit (and the OPI names) is f**king brilliant.

'Confessions of a Concealaholic' is a group I should probably belong to, considering my serious makeup problem. Well, it's not realllly a problem, but I do buy more makeup than I know what to do with, am constantly being honked at for doing my makeup behind the wheel (see here), and getting into all kinds of trouble at the movies (see here).

I love Benefit. They are simply the best at creating witty cosmetic packaging.

I love themes. I always have. Seasons, holidays, fonts, color combos... it's just the way to my heart.

Not much of a sports lover (AT ALL) but I do love colors and mascots, and cute black stripes under their eyes! Catch mah' drift?

Well, I especially love when MAKEUP is themed! Like these Philosophy 'Trick or Treat' lip glosses. OMG so friggin' cute. And they taste as good as they smell! (I would know. Fatty!)

MAC collabos get me so excited!

Especially this one, The Venemous Villians Collection, due in stores mid-September. Disney's top villains will cover lipsticks, glosses, blush compacts and nail polish.

With lipstick colors like 'Innocence Beware' (light shimmer pink) and 'Toxic Tale' (bright coral), and a peach blush called 'Bite of an Apple', I think my cosmetic prayers may have just been answered!

Villains include: Cruela DeVil from 101 Dalmations, Evil Queen from Snow White, Malificent from Sleeping Beauty, and Dr. Facilier from The Princess and The Frog.

Now if only they did Disney PRINCESSES would I think I've died and gone to heaven!

A Lesson Learned

If you know me, you know that I apply makeup nine hundred times a day. Makeup is my favorite subject in school. Me + Makeup is the backdrop to this story...

It was one of me and my boyfriend's first dates.. maybe our 4th or 5th date and we went out to the movies. We saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall, opening night (which I just googled out of curiosity. It was April 18th, 2008) at the Arclight in Hollywood.

It was nearing the end of the movie when I reached to get my makeup bag out of my purse. I had to freshen my lipstick, so that when the movie finished and the lights go on, Poof! I am magically beautiful and my lips are pink and glossy (and yes my lips are this naturally shiny and beautiful all the time)!!

So in the dark, I take out and apply what I think is my Trish McEvoy lip pencil. Sneak it back in my purse. Pheww. No one saw. I'm magically beautiful again. The movie ends. Credit role. Lights.

A nervous look and laughter: "What the fuck Lex!", he says. My lips are smeared with black. I put black eyeliner on my lips.

I try rubbing it off with my hand which only makes it worse and now my entire mouth area is grey. My boyfriend is laughing uncontrollably. I am mortified. Not only do I look dirty, but my cover is blown as I later explain that I was putting makeup on in the movie. Deep heavy sigh.

I can't believe we actually ended up together!

So Hot You Melt My Popsicle

Okay, here's the story with these Sweet Pops lipgloss trio keychains, $12 at Kitson:

First of all they're freakin' adorable. You never know when you're driving and you may need some emergency popsicle lipgloss!

And second, I originally bought this set for a girlfriend as part of her birthday gift. But it has been months and I've been trying to get together with her, and she hasn't called me back... Hence, it has become my new gift to myself! As the pink one (obvi) is now attached to my keys.

You actually pull the popsicle stick out from its colored shell and the lip balm flips open. You must get one, this is an ABSOLUTE NECESSITY.

Makeup Bag's My Middle Name

I am loving Chanel's summer pop-up makeup collection! Hot pink, cool minty turquoise, and khaki bronze... so freakin' cute! Plus I've always loved the pink/mint green color combo in general, it feels like an extension of my personality.

I think that Chanel compacts are a great investment because of how smart they look. Black lacquer with the Chanel logo = classic. It's like having couture in your pocket for under $50! But I must admit I never liked Chanel lipsticks, they always tasted like "grandma"/bad/rotten wax flavor. Anyhoo, that's besides the point. Check out Chanel's hot video here.
